Cech has not lost his hope: "I haven't gave up the title!"

Chelsea started the season in the championship with maximum points after the first five rounds and a stunning goal difference, 21-1. Something changed in the team's game and the Londoners were unable to impose their rhythm throughout the Premier League, reaching the fourth place with nine stages remaining in this edition. Chelsea gained 48 points  and is 12 points distance from the leader , ManchesterUnited, having two less games played compared to the "red devils", including the direct encounter at Old Trafford in May.

Stamford Bridge team's goalkeeper Petr Cech said he is optimistic regarding the chance of the "blues" to win the fifth title in history: "We see how the teams ahead us lose points and we must do everything possible to get back in the league's top. It was a season with up and downs, and we were on a slope that I hope we'll lead us to the top  at the end of the championship.", said Cech.

The Czech is however aware that getting the title depends not only on  his team :" Realistically speaking , we must recognize that our fate is closely linked with other teams. We need to get maximum points and expect that United and Arsenal  would stumble",said Cech.

Chelsea has to face  this season, among others, Manchester City and Tottenhamon their own field, and Manchester United  away. Until then, Ancelotti's team will play Monday on the Bloomfield Road the meeting with the newly promoted team Blackpool, that has managed to produce a series of surprises this season, which include the double victory with the same score, 2-1, in front of Liverpool and the success at home in front of  Tottenham, 3-1.

Chelsea boosts the fight for the title after managing to beat Manchester United!

Chelseaa passed with 2-1 by Manchester United and climbed to 4th place in the championship , applying to the leader the second defeat this season in the Premier League.
 Wayne Rooney's goal in the first half, after a shot from 20 m,  has created for the "red devils" the illusion that they can win at Stamford Bridge after waiting for eight years, but Carlo Ancelotti's men were able to take advantage of the opposing central defenders mistakes and they turned the score in the second half. The Brazilian Luiz David, who was at his the first game as holder, equalized with a shot from the box  and Frank Lampard converted the penalty given by Atkinson after a  arguable foul of  Smalling on the Russian Yiuri Zhirkov. And that after Rooney missed two clear opportunities at 1-1.In the minutes of extension , Nemanja Vidic received a second yellow, an event hailed as one of the favorites goal by the 42,000 fans in London.

Fernando Torres didn't scored this time either for Chelsea, as well as the main goal-man of the guests , Dimitar Berbatov, used only in the last 20 minutes  in Hernandez Ferguson's place.

Following this result, Chelsea made the castle with Tottenham, the last qualifier for the Champions League, while Manchester keeps the lead of four points from Arsenal, but "the Gunners" have played a game less.

Given by the press of Albion as sacked after poor results in the recent period , Carlo Ancelotti is very happy after the success of Tuesday evening, but he was realistic about the chances for the title.
"There are 12 points between us and United, a huge difference. Manchester has played consistently this season, we must recognize that. We achieved an important victory, which gives us confidence, but we don't have chances for the first place, the leader is too far", stressed the Italian coach.
 Ancelotti also commented the performance of Torres: "We should not judge Torred by that criterion . I do not ask my strikers to give goals, but to play for the team, and he did that, he put pressure on the defenders."


Alex Ferguson was furious at the end on the referee Atkinson, who overlooked a yellow worth foul of the marker the first goal of the hosts, David Luiz, on Rooney,  situation which would lead to the midfielder's elimination , who had been warned a few minutes earlier.

Anceloti doesn't hope for the title anymore!

Chelsea could rejoin the fight for the title of the Premier League after Manchester United's first defeat in this season, 1-2 on Wolverhampton's land, but the failure of the match against Liverpool, 0-1, played in the 26th round , gave the "blues" all their plans upside down.

Carlo Ancelotti believes his team's realistic goal is a rank on one of the top four places, for which Chelsea would "catch" Champions League next season : "It is hard to think that we could fight for the first place after the latest results. The difference is too large, we must be honest. Important is that we are ranked fourth at the end of the season, place for which we will fight with other valuable teams . "

 On the other hand, the 51 years old Italian  knows how important it is for his team the accommodation of the newcomers David Luiz and Fernando Torres: "My goal is to build the best team with the players I have. Drogba and Torres are  two sensational strikers and we must do everything possible for them to play well together."
Chelsea ranks fourth in the Premier League with 44 points and will play the last match of the 27th stage on Monday at 22 pm, on the land of the 2010 Champions League finalist, Fulham.
