Qatar's royal family has submitted a buying  offer to the English club, Manchester United, in exchange for 1.76 billion euros, the amount being considered insufficient by the Glazer family, the British group's owner.
 The Asian state, host of the World Cup tournament in 2022, made the offer in December 2010, through an investment fund controlled by the royal family.
English club's U.S. owners estimate, however, that the group's value is around 2.34 billion euros. The Glazer family bought Manchester United in 2005, for about one billion euros.
The Manchester club's management denied the information regarding the offer arrived from Qatar and said that the group is not for sale.
