Manchester United's legendary goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar has announced he would retire at the end of this season. At the age of 40 years, the Dutch came in 2005 from Fulham, was a holder in Sir Alex Ferguson's team in 21 of 23 matches.
It seems that Edwin will not continue his career at Old Trafford, refusing official's offer to train:
"I am not going to start coaching in the near future. I will take a break for the next 18 months , I plan to spend more time with my family.", said the goalkeeper for The Sun.
In the shirt of United, the Dutchman has won three Premier League titles, one Champions League and League Cup.
Sir Alex has already found a replacement, Dane Anders Lindegaard (26 years), bought in January.He is the main favorite for Manchester's goalkeeper position.
