Barcelona breaks record after record!

The last stage of the championship tour in Spain has decided the winner of the title "winter champion" . For the third time consecutive the title is own by Barcelona.
This time, the Catalans set two new records in Primera Division, finishing the first part of the season with 52 points and 17 victories in 19 matches.
"To collect 52 points in 19 matches, it's a miracle!" said Andoni Zubizarreta, team's technical director. The previous record of one tour successes, 16 , belonged also to Real Madrid, in the 1960-1961 season.
The record of points was established also by the Catalans in the first season with Guardiola on the bench, with 49 points.
Pep Guardiola finished as winter champion every season as Barcelona's coach, and never lost the title at the end.
Sunday's result, 4-1 with Malaga brought the team another record : 28 consecutive games without defeat!
An incredible record established also David Villa. The striker brought last summer from Valencia,scored a double against Malaga, reaching 14 goals in the championship for now. It's his 9th consecutive season when he marks 14 goals in the 1st half of the season, regardless of which team he has evolved.
