Chelsea offered 40 million pounds for Torres. Liverpool rejected it!

 Liverpool Group rejected an offer of 40 million pounds from the London club Chelsea for the Spanish international player acquisition Fernando Torres ,informs the newspaper The Sun .

"Liverpool has received an offer from Chelsea for Fernando Torres and it was rejected. The player is not for sale." said a source from the Liverpool club.

 The Sun writes  that Chelsea's owner ,Roman Abramovich, has made a similar offer for Torres last summer and after the  club's  management new refuse he could make a new proposal of 50 million pounds.



Torres scored 65 goals in 101 matches played at Liverpool.
He played 82 games at Spain's national team , scoring 26 goals.
