The coach of Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho, admitted Saturday in a press conference that the potential of his team dropped after the injury of Cristiano Ronaldo, who will be unavailable for 15 days.
"Cristiano is Cristiano, he is a far too important player to say that we will not feel his absence or we will have the same potential, let's not be hypocrites. We have other players, though, motivated to give everything on the field, and Ronaldo's absence does not change our goal. The Racing match will be difficult, with a team that is motivated, with confidence and who plays well at home. But the goal will not change, it will be harder without Cristiano, but we are confident that we will achieve our goal.", said Mourinho.
The Portuguese striker was injured in the match against Malaga on Thursday night, score 7-0, and will be unavailable between 10 and 15 days. The Portuguese aged 26years suffered a left thigh muscle injury. He left the field in the 76th minute, after he scored the third goal in the match with Malaga.
